Hand Cut Goodies!!

All of my works are hand cut, hand made, hand just about everything!!(I use an electric drill). This means that I get to watch the transformation of the metal right under my fingertips. Makes for a pretty nice connection with the works, and it gives me immense joy at the knowledge that folks are out there enjoying them.

Stay tuned for some more sundew pieces!!

Introducing 'Place of Sillhouettes'

This is my latest bespoke collection which is now showing at Red Opus art space, located on Payneham Road St Peters, or you can check out their website at http://www.redopusartspace.com/

The sihouettes of plants that are indigenous to the Aldinga scrub are only the beginning of the story behind these works.

Underlying each piece is a pattern associated with various cultures around the globe. They are made from discarded anodised alluminium saucpan lids, cake tins, canistiers, kettles etc.. Using ethical manufacturing techniques.

This collection is about place. Aldinga and its place.

kimthomsonjewellery has lift off!!

I have created yet another blog! I have also changed my email address and basically simplified my cyberworld so that people can find it easier to access me and my work.

I apologise if this is becoming confusing, but hopefully as my skills develop with doing this, the new blog will become easier to access, and understand what is going on in my little jewellery and music world.

Stay tuned for some photos
