Sydney Design Festival afficiandos!!
Textile Artists Denise Lithgow, Billie-Jean Scoppa and myself at The Valerie Steele lecture at the Powerhouse Museum. The lecture propelled massive conversations about Art and Fashion, is Fashion Art? Is Art Fashion? Do we like the word Fashion? Does is describe accurately the works of Textile Art, Jewellery Design, Wearable Art, and indeed anything that adorns the human body with care, deliberation and meaning. We thoroughly enjoyed Valerie's lecture, and I for one am very exctied about continuing this conversation, with Valerie in New York.

A pleasure to have met you at the Willunga Artisans Market Jan 14th! I had the other stall across the room with the fascinators, fashion illustrations, etc.
Really inspired by your work and the ethical way you approach and create your masterpieces! It's definitely got me thinking about how I can be more mindful with my sewing.

Oooo how exciting to hear from you Belinda, I just noticed your comment tucked away in there :-) Thankyou for checking out my blog, and yes there is much to be exited about when it comes to sustaining life and creativity on this fair planet :-) I'm looking forward to the next market and have started cutting up my ' midnight blue' saucepan lid :-) Your work is fascinating also, there is much you can do in terms of upcycling and textiles, the sky is the limit!!!!
